ADULTS
Life is better together and the aim for our church is to experience Jesus Centered Life Together.
Because of these realities we believe that everyone should find a group to connect and share life with. Several Group
options are available for the adults of all ages in our church.
SUNDAY GROUPS
We currently have 3 groups that meet every Sunday at 9 AM and Center Kids and Students meet at the same time so there is something for every member of the family. We would love for you to join any of these groups.
This group is made up of parents from newborn to nearly empty nest. We gather each week and examine life, marriage, parenting and more through the lens of scripture. We share the joys and struggles of life and remind one another that Jesus is with us in the center of it all. This group is led by Danny Williams and Pastor Tim and meets in room 102.
This group is reading through the entire Bible together throughout 2025. They would love for you to join them in room 106. John Albritton and Daniel Fenner are leading the group that discovers Jesus in all of scripture and is reminded that he is where the joy is. You can learn more about Bible Recap at thebiblerecap.com.
This multigenerational group meets in “The Brickhouse.” Each week includes in depth Bible study focused on understanding the original context and meaning of the text and how it intersects with and applies to life today. The class is led by Dr. Joel Cocklin and enjoys great food, fellowship and time in the Word together.
MIDWEEK
Midweek groups gather on Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30 PM. The shape and form of these groups shifts throughout the year. Our Adult Midweek Group is currently focused on a study called Practicing the Way that examines how we can be with Jesus, become like Jesus and do what Jesus did through practices like prayer, scripture, sabbath, serving and more.
Midweek Groups will not gather during the months of June, July and August.
Connect groups gather seasonally throughout the year in the homes of people from our church. Many of these groups are “sermon focused” and gather to dive deeper into the truth of God’s word from the message delivered on Sunday. The Bible tells us that as iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. With this in mind our men acknowledge that we are stronger together than on our own. The men of Center Point gather regularly throughout the year for prayer breakfasts, Bible studies, and service projects.
The women of our church love to share in life together. Throughout the year there are opportunities to study the word together. In September they participate in a Women’s retreat in Branson with several other churches. Our women’s ministry also hosts a Christmas event that is one of the highlights of the year.
This group is almost as awesome as the name. The Fun Group is a group of our adults (mostly 50+) that gather on the first Thursday of each month in the Brickhouse for food, fellowship and fun. They also occasionally gather for a day trip or a visit to a favorite restaurant. The group is always open to new people who
would like to participate.
FPU stands for Financial Peace University. This 9 week course is generally offered twice a year and is facilitated by Kevin McAlexander. The aim of Financial Peace is to help people obtain a biblically based understanding of finances and stewardship. FPU equips people to honor God with resources, eliminate debt and invest in their future and the work of God’s Kingdom.
